the lotus journey
with the morning sun
the lotus stretches open
to share her vibrant beauty
with all who care to see
and as the sun slips from the sky
she embraces herself
retreating loving in solitude
wrapped inside her sacred petals
to enjoy the splendour
of her silence and secrets
then as the moon and stars dance above
she remains as a bud
suspended in the unmanifest
and rests in rapture
knowing that,
in bloom all possibilities can grow
